A unusual assortment of spectacular videos by Cheri are about URABUTE ART being created and anyting else that comes to mind. Moments of distraction, moments of pleasure or different types of disorientation: visual, literary and odd. 

Computer graphics may run on a loop far behind with an accompanying story read aloud. The fictional narrator could be a ME or a commuter walking by or a dog barking or a dancer performing who suddenly remembers she’s got a phone call to make and runs off stage laughing. Who can know?

 On screen, the visuals come in and out with the paintings and go back and forth between sky shots or water. Word and image never totally either connect or drift apart. The work adds little to the now daunting task of creating venerable traditional documentaries or video art and yet is satisfying and enjoyable and fun as they seem giddily right, because everything included is not by happen chance but has been thoughtfully and exactly created  in every detail to tell a story, and if the theme is madness nothing is overdone or arbitrary.  B**S**T
